Competitividad del Cluster del sector vitivinícola de La Rioja

Abstract

En este trabajo, cuyo estudio está centrado en los clusters, se hará un análisis de este amplio concepto y de la competitividad adscribiéndose a la teoría de Michael Porter. El objetivo de estudio principal será el sector vitivinícola. Se establecerá un marco inicial basado en el concepto de cluster de Porter y se contrastará con otros enfoques teóricos. La metodología de trabajo será un estudio sobre la competitividad del cluster del vino centrado en la región española de La Rioja. Se incluirán temas como la cadena de valor del vino, un análisis DAFO del sector y los factores que influyen en la ventaja competitiva del cluster mediante el modelo de Diamante de Porter. Este análisis servirá de investigación y para obtener resultados sobre el impacto económico que tiene el cluster del vino nacional e internacionalmente. Además, se describen unas líneas de actuación para mantener la diferenciación del cluster ante el contexto global, presente y futuro, del sector vitivinícola.The broad concept of clusters and their competitiveness is analyzed in this case study following the theory of Michael Porter. The focus of this research is on the wine sector. Initially, a framework based on Porter's cluster concept will be established and contrasted with other theoretical approaches. The work methodology will be a study on the competitiveness of the wine cluster of the Spanish region of La Rioja. Topics such as the wine value chain, a SWOT analysis of the sector and the factors that influence the cluster's competitive advantage will be included using Porter’s Diamond model. The purpose of the analysis is to obtain results of the national and international economic impact of the wine cluster. Lastly, an action plan is proposed for the Rioja cluster to maintain its differentiation in the present and future context of the global wine sector.
