Libertad de prensa : caso comparativo entre Hungría y Polonia

Abstract

Los Estados Miembros de la Unión Europea fracasan al no garantizar los derechos y libertades correspondientes al Estado de Derecho a sus ciudadanos. El pluralismo de los medios de comunicación así como la libertad de prensa están experimentando la situación más frágil desde el final de la Guerra Fría. La razón principal se debe al auge de populismo e ideologías extremas en la región de Europa del Este, concretamente en Polonia y Hungría. Este trabajo de investigación lleva a cabo un análisis en profundidad del caso así como las consecuencias que tendrá para el resto de Estados Miembros. Además, se estudiará la actuación de la Unión Europea, las medidas tomadas al respecto y el impacto que tendrá sobre el futuro del organismo.The Member States of the European Union fail to guarantee the rights and freedoms to their citizens related to the Rule of Law. The pluralism of the media as well as the freedom of the press are experiencing the most fragile situation since the end of the Cold War. The main reason is due to the rise of populism and extreme ideologies in the Eastern European region, specifically in Poland and Hungary. This research work carries out an in-depth analysis of the case as well as the consequences it will have for the rest of the Member States. In addition, the action of the European Union, the measures taken in this regard and the impact it will have on the future of the organization will be studied.
