Ricardo Dip, tradicionalista hispánico

Abstract

El Desembargador Ricardo Henry Marques Dip es una figura destacada del pensamiento jurídico y político tradicionalista en Brasil y en el ámbito hispánico. Con más de 45 años de trayectoria en la magistratura paulista, ha combinado su labor judicial con una intensa actividad académica, filosófica y editorial. Discípulo del profesor José Pedro Galvão de Sousa, Dip ha desarrollado una obra centrada en el derecho natural clásico, la filosofía política tradicional, la crítica al constitucionalismo moderno, la defensa de la seguridad jurídica y la denuncia del nihilismo posmoderno.

Su pensamiento se articula en torno a la tradición católica hispánica, el tomismo, el carlismo y el rechazo de las ideologías modernas como el liberalismo, el socialismo y el neoconstitucionalismo. Ha sido homenajeado por sus discípulos y colegas en esta obra colectiva que recorre sus aportes en derecho penal, notarial, registral, filosofía del derecho, educación política y crítica cultural. Además, se destaca su papel como organizador y maestro en instituciones como el Consejo de Estudios Hispánicos Felipe II y la Unión Internacional de Juristas Católicos.

Judge Ricardo Henry Marques Dip has been a member of the São Paulo State Court of Justice for over 45 years and currently serves as a permanent member of its Special Body. With degrees in law and journalism, and a master's in the social function of law, he has twice received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa for his extensive scholarly work and personal virtues. A professor, lecturer, and prolific author, his academic contributions span legal philosophy, political theory, natural law, human rights, constitutionalism, and judicial prudence. He is widely recognized as the leading figure of classical iusnaturalism in Brazil, with influence extending across Hispanic America and Europe.

As he approaches the mandatory retirement age of 75, this volume pays tribute to his legacy through a collection of essays by colleagues and disciples. These essays reflect the key themes of his thought and work, including the crisis of legal certainty, the role of the judge, public records, and the philosophical foundations of law and politics. The book also includes biographical data and a bibliography, honoring Dip as a master and major reference in the classical natural law tradition.
