Encuesta sobre Variaciones sobre el espíritu y el ensayo en el siglo XXI

Abstract

El artículo “Variaciones sobre el espíritu y el ensayo en el siglo XXI” reúne una antología de reflexiones en torno a la experiencia espiritual y su relación con el ensayo contemporáneo. A través de distintas voces, se examina el papel del arte, la literatura y la tradición espiritual en una sociedad marcada por el materialismo y la inmediatez. Los textos abordan la tensión entre lo visible y lo invisible, lo material y lo espiritual, así como la necesidad de recuperar espacios de silencio, contemplación y sentido. Desde referencias a pensadores y místicos hasta experiencias personales, se reivindica el ensayo como forma idónea para explorar la interioridad, la trascendencia y la dimensión ética del ser humano en el contexto cultural actual.

The article “Variations on Spirit and the Essay in the 21st Century” brings together an anthology of reflections on spiritual experience and its relationship with the contemporary essay. Through multiple voices, it examines the role of art, literature, and spiritual tradition in a society shaped by materialism and immediacy. The texts explore the tension between the visible and the invisible, the material and the spiritual, as well as the need to recover spaces for silence, contemplation, and meaning. Drawing on references to thinkers and mystics alongside personal experiences, the essay form is presented as an appropriate medium to address interiority, transcendence, and the ethical dimension of the human being within today’s cultural context.
