El capítulo analiza el papel de la inteligencia artificial en la investigación en salud, con especial atención a sus posibilidades para transformar la práctica investigadora, la atención sanitaria y el cuidado. Presenta el desarrollo de estrategias de salud digital, terapias digitales y herramientas basadas en datos, así como su impacto en la relación clínica y en la integración de distintas formas de inteligencia, incluida la inteligencia emocional. El texto subraya que la IA puede mejorar el diagnóstico, el seguimiento y la personalización de intervenciones, pero también exige criterios éticos claros para preservar el cuidado como valor central de la salud. La reflexión se orienta hacia el presente y el futuro de estas tecnologías, destacando la necesidad de mantener una perspectiva humana, responsable y prudente en su implementación.

The chapter examines the role of artificial intelligence in health research, focusing on its potential to transform research practice, healthcare delivery and care. It discusses the development of digital health strategies, digital therapeutics and data-driven tools, as well as their impact on the clinical relationship and on the integration of different forms of intelligence, including emotional intelligence. The text emphasizes that AI can improve diagnosis, monitoring and the personalization of interventions, but it also requires clear ethical criteria to preserve care as a central value in health. The reflection is oriented toward the present and future of these technologies, highlighting the need to maintain a human, responsible and prudent perspective in their implementation.
