Creation of suspense through dialogue and its translation

Abstract

El capítulo "Creación del suspense a través del diálogo y su traducción" de Susanne M. Cadera y Anita Pavić Pintarić introduce el libro The Voices of Suspense y su traducción en Thriller (Rodopi, Approaches to Translation Studies 2014) explicando los antecedentes teóricos y el enfoque metodológico de varios años de investigación sobre el diálogo ficcional y su traducción, adaptándolo al género negro y al cine. Como estrategia narrativa, el diálogo es un recurso importante que permite al escritor modelar la subjetividad del personaje. En los thrillers o la novela negra, la voz del personaje es parte del proceso de crear suspenso. Las dimensiones de las distintas categorías de narradores y modos de expresión, así como la representación del pensamiento son un componente estilístico son fundamentales en la creación del suspense.
