Vocación y misión de los Misioneros Hermanos. Aspectos jurídicos y organizativos

Abstract

Entre los motivos que explican la crisis de identidad de la figura del religioso hermano se encuentran algunas estructuras jurídicas del pasado inadecuadas. Sin embargo la cuestión de la identidad y misión de los Hermanos no se resuelve concediéndolos plena participación en el gobierno en todos los ámbitos y niveles. La igualdad no pasa porque los religiosos hermanos puedan ser Superiores mayores. En los institutos clericales sólo los presbíteros pueden desempeñar el oficio de superior que conlleva potestad de jurisdicción y por tanto las facultades propias del Ordinario. Esta prohibición se sitúa no en el orden de los valores, sino de las funciones y servicios. Igualdad no significa identidad dentro del Instituto.

Among the reasons that explain the crisis of identity of the religious brother are some inadequate legal structures of the past. However, the question of the identity and mission of the Brothers is not resolved by granting them full participation in governance of institutes in all areas and levels. Equality does not happen because religious brother can be major superiors. In the clerical institutes only the priests can play the office of superior that entails the power of gobernance and the propers faculties of Ordinary. This prohibition is placed not in the order of the values, but of the functions and services. Equality does not mean identity within the institute.
