Fernando el Católico y la Orden Canonical del Santo Sepulcro en Aragón: Calatayud y Zaragoza

Abstract

El apoyo del Rey Fernando el Católico a la Orden del Santo Sepulcro es fundamental para la supervivencia de la Orden en Aragón. Al final del siglo XV, las reformas eclesiásticas de los Reyes Católicos alcanzaron las instituciones del Sepulcro en Calatayud y Zaragoza. Las reformas no son aceptadas en Calatayud, y en Zaragoza las Canonesas muestran un documento pontificio que indica que no necesitan ser visitadas por los reformadores. Al fina el rey conseguirá su deseo de reformas.

The support of King Ferdinand "the Catholic" to the Order of the Holy Sepulchre is fundamental for the survival of the Order in Aragon. By the end of the fifteenth century, the ecclesiastical reforms of the Catholic king and queen reach the institutions of the Sepulchre in Calatayud and Saragossa. These reforms are not accepted in Calatayud, and in Saragossa the Canonesses show them the pontifical document which indicates that they don´t need to be visited by the reformers. At the end the king Ferdinand will be able to achieve his desire for the reforms
