Pentecostés: la Iglesia que habla todas las lenguas

Abstract

H. de Lubac escribió: "La Iglesia era católica en la mañana de Pentecostés". Al afrontar el reto de la globalización, el cristianosmo puede ofrecer una alternativa de unidad en la diversidad que parece ser la traducción actual de la categoría teológica de la catolicidad de la Iglesia, siguiendo las reflexiones de Lumen gentium 13. El debate contemporáneo sobre la misión demanda descubrir una concepción cualitativa de la catolicidad, que corrija el énfasis clásico en la universalidad geográfica, subrayando el principio de la catolicidad intercultural.

Henri de Lubac wrote: "The Church was yet catholic on the morning of Pentecost"- In facing the challenge of globalization, Christianity can offer an alternative way of togetherness in diversity, which seems to be the current traslation of the theological category of the catholicity of the Church, following the rellexions in Lumen gentium 13. The contemporay catholic debate on mission claims to recover a qualitative conception on catholicity, in order to correct the classical emplhasis on geografical breath, and to remark the idea of a intecultural catholicity.
