Fundamentos teológicos de la reforma eclesial en el proyecto del Papa Francisco

Abstract

Este estudio presenta el pensamiento pastoral del Papa Francisco, el primer papa latinoamericano. La novedad de sus pontificado, reformador y misionero, hunde sus raíces en la figura singular del jesuita argentino Jorge Mario Bergoglio, en su arraigo en la Iglesia latinoamericana y en el proyecto misionero de Aparecida (2007). El autor procede en dos pasos: en el primero, de naturaleza más narrativa, echando la vista atrás, recuerda sus primeros pasos de este pontificado; en un segundo momento, más sistemático, analiza las claves principales de la exhortación Evangelii gaudium (2013): la alegría de la evangelización, la dimensión social del Evangelio, la opción por los pobres, la conversión misionera para la reforma eclesial siguiendo las directrices del Vaticano II.

This theological study exposes the pastoral thought of Pope Francis, the first Latin American Pope. The novelty of his pontificate, reformer and missionary, has its roots in the singular figure of the Argentine Jesuit Jorge Mario Bergoglio, rooting in the Latin American Church and the missionary project of Aparecida (2007). The author proceeds in two stages: in the first, more narrative in nature, looking back, remembers the first steps in the Francis' pontificate; in the second, more systematic nature, analyses the main keys of the exhortation Evangelii gaudium (2013): the joy of evangelizing, the social dimension of Gospel, the option for the poor, the missionary conversion for the ecclesial reforma following the Council Vatican II.
