Cruzar la frontera: la caravana migrante de centroamericanos y los medios

Abstract

Han caminado desde hace más de 30 años y andado sobre trenes, carreteras y caminos, sin embargo, habían sido invisibles. O por lo menos, no habían recibido la atención que tienen ahora. La Caravana se ha convertido en una opción para llegar con vida e integridad a la frontera con Estados Unidos (este lunes supimos de la partida de una segunda). Estos movimientos y sus características han despertado el interés mediático dada la cantidad de gente que se moviliza al mismo tiempo, pero es la atención de los defensores de los DDHH, las ONG´s y la manera en la que el símbolo de personas queriendo cruzar una frontera (convertido en muchedumbre ) grita que la situación en origen ya cambió de un estado de urgencia a uno aún mayor, el insostenible.
