La gracia en Ignacio de Loyola

Abstract

En este capítulo nos aproximamos al concepto ignaciano de gracia desde una perspectiva concreta: la gracia contemplada como posibilitadora del encuentro con la voluntad de Dios. Esta vinculación pondrá de relieve la importancia de la dimensión relacional de la gracia para Ignacio, su visión dinámica de la misma y cómo su medida está en función de la misión. De ahí que el sujeto se encuentre emplazado a «buscar la voluntad de Dios» en cada circunstancia concreta y a incorporar una constante actitud de discernimiento, que pedirá el ejercicio de todas las capacidades humanas cooperando con la gracia, así como una actitud de disponibilidad activa y pasiva. La «gracia» se irá revelando como el «medio» que Dios nos ofrece para que esta búsqueda llegue a buen fin. La estrecha relación entre «gracia» y «voluntad » se revelará como una posible clave hermenéutica para abordar la cuestión de la articulación entre gracia y libertad.

In this chapter we approach the Ignatian concept of grace from a concrete perspective: grace is considered as that which makes the encounter with the will of God possible. This link will highlight the importance of the relational dimension of grace for Ignatius, the the grace is in accordance with the mission. The subject therefore finds him/herself called upon to «search for the will of God» in each concrete circumstance and to incorporate a constant attitude of discernment, which will require the exercise of all their human capacities to cooperate with the grace, as well as an attitude of active and passive availability. «Grace» will be revealed as the «means» that God offers us so that this search leads to a good conclusion. The close relationship between «grace» and «will» will be recognized as a possible hermeneutic key to articulate the relationship between grace and freedom.
