Nuevos Pactos Migratorios. Es Posible Otra Política

Abstract

La Iglesia católica vive la realidad de los migrantes y los refugiados como un signo de los tiempos en el mundo actual. La Biblia se reconoce como una realidad en movimiento, con experiencias migratorias, de exilio, de acogida y de hospitalidad. Los textos bíblicos nos presentan el Pueblo de Dios como un pueblo peregrino. En estas últimas semanas estamos viviendo dentro del campo de las migraciones y el refugio diferentes acontecimientos que necesitan de nuestra atención. En esta línea, las entidades de Iglesia española que conforman la red Migrantes con Derechos Cáritas, Confer, Justicia y Paz y la Comisión Episcopal de Migraciones , tras conocer las conclusiones y acuerdos en materia de migraciones y protección internacional alcanzados en el Consejo Europeo celebrado a finales de junio, han expresado firmemente el rechazo al modo en que se está construyendo una Unión Europea excluyente e insensible ante las necesidades de las personas que se acercan a sus fronteras en busca de protección internacional y de un mejor futuro.
