La inculturación del cristianismo y su aproximación a la pedagogía religiosa

Abstract

A lo largo de los siglos, la tradición teológica ha conceptualizado su reflexión tomando como soporte la realidad religiosa y cultural judeo-protocristiana, y el sistema de pensamiento filosófico greco-romano. La teología del siglo XX ha querido romper con la transmisión de un cristianismo alejado de la realidad sociocultural de sus destinatarios. El neologismo inculturación ha pretendido transmitir el mensaje de Jesús de Nazaret sin destruir la atmósfera social de los pueblos, sino penetrando en cada cultura y haciéndola crecer en valores. En la actualidad, el contexto histórico, cultural y vital de un alumno, y la significación y motivación del proceso de aprendizaje son elementos importantes en la adquisición de competencias básicas y específicas del educando. Toda pedagogía religiosa abierta a un diálogo interdisciplinar ha de plantearse este modelo de enseñanza-aprendizaje, ineludible en una sociedad cada vez más multicultural. Desde la corriente constructivista como telón de fondo, queremos proponer una pedagogía religiosa que se aproxime al concepto de inculturación del cristianismo. Dicho marco teórico es pertinente para hacer un primer acercamiento a este término teológico a partir el flanco de la pedagogía y observar su desarrollo en contextos geográficos no occidentales. Pero si este trabajo quedase aparcado en el campo teórico, nuestra propuesta sería estéril. La finalidad de esta iniciación a la inculturación en el campo de la pedagogía se abre al desarrollo de sus competencias y contenidos en futuros trabajos de investigación.

Throughout the centuries, the theological tradition has conceptualized its reflection taking as a starting point the first Judeo-Christian religious and cultural reality, and the Greco-Roman philosophical system. Twentieth-century theology wanted to break with the transmission of a Christianity which was away from its receivers socio-cultural reality. The neologism inculturation has tried to transmit the message of Jesus of Nazareth without destroying the social atmosphere of the different communities, but getting inside each culture and making it grow in values. Nowadays, student s historical, cultural and vital contexts, and the meaning and motivation of the learning process, are very important elements to students basic and specific competences acquisition. Every religious education opened to an interdisciplinary dialogue must take into consideration this model of teaching-learning, inevitable in a more and more multicultural society. Starting from the constructivist school of thought, we want to propose a religious pedagogy close to the Christian concept of inculturation. This theoretical framework is appropriate to make a first approach to this theological term, from the pedagogical perspective, and to observe its development in non-western geographical context. But if this work stopped in the theoretical field, our proposal would be futile. The purpose of this initiation to inculturation in the field of education opens to the development of its competences and contents in future research.
