Los arabismos en el campo de la agricultura

Abstract

El presente trabajo analiza la presencia de arabismo en la lengua española, concretamente en el campo de la agricultura. En un intento de plasmar la variedad cultural y lingüística del castellano, este trabajo trata en primer lugar lo que es un arabismo con el fin de proporcionar al lector una serie de instrumentos que le permitan identificar y entender con más facilidad las palabras de procedencia árabe a lo largo del trabajo. Además, se realiza un breve recorrido por la época de la “revolución verde” del al-Ándalus, ya que fue esta época la más fecunda desde el punto de vista de la agricultura. Se mencionarán los diferentes Tratados Agrícolas que sentaron las bases para un nuevo ordenamiento de la agricultura en la península. Finalmente, se estudiarán los arabismos en tres áreas concretas: la irrigación, la horticultura, la viticultura y la olivicultura. Al final de esta sección el lector podrá consultar una serie de glosarios elaborados a partir de las investigaciones realizadas que recogen no solo los términos explicados en el trabajo, sino también muchos otros que por extensión no ha sido posible desarrollar.

The present paper analyses the presence of Arabisms in the Spanish language, especially in the agriculture field. To show the cultural and linguistic variety of the Spanish language, this paper addresses firstly what an Arabism is, so the reader can easily identify and understand the presence of Arabic words throughout the study. Moreover, we will make a brief study of the “green revolution” era in the Al-Andalus, since it was highly influential for the agriculture. Several Agriculture Treaties that were written in that period will be mentioned as well. Finally, several Arabisms will be analysed in specific fields of agriculture such as irrigation, horticulture, viticulture, and olive growing. At the end of this section, the reader will find a series of glossaries based on the achievements of this investigation and which collect not only the terminology previously mentioned, but also many other terms that, due to the extension of this paper, it was not possible to develop.
