Significado ecuménico de la teología de Martín Lutero

Abstract

Tomando como referencia la conmemoración conjunta del V centenario del nacimiento de la Reforma Protestante, e l artículo analiza la evolución en la historiografía católica sobre la imagen del reformador Martín Lutero y se pregunta por el alcance y valor de su pensamiento teológico desde la nueva conciencia ecuménica actual. El actual clima de diálogo ha permitido una superación de la teología de controversia histórica. En ese nuevo marco, resulta pertinente la pregunta por el modo de situarse ante su teología y su propuesta reformadora, especialmente su en lo referente a la doctrina de la justificación.

Taking as a reference the joint commemoration of the V Centenary of f the Protestant Reformation, the article analyzes the evolution in Catholic historiography on the image of the reformer Martin Luther and asks about the scope and value of his theological thinking from the current new ecumenical consciousness . The current climate of dialogue has allowed an overcoming of the theology of historical controversy. In this new framework, the question about the way to situate himself before his theology and his reform proposal is pertinent, especially in relation to the doctrine of justification.
