The main purpose of this article is to study the Old City of Jerusalem in the context of proposing a peaceful solution between Arabs and Israelis. The general approach is to view this land that is holy for three monotheistic religions as a common-pool resource, moving away from the traditional vision that has considered it a public good, a private good or even a club good. Thus, we employ a neo-institutionalist vision to outline the creation of a common property regime, based on Ostrom’s eight principles as a solution to this complex issue. |
