Transhumanismo en el diálogo entre ciencia y religión

Abstract

El punto de partida del estudio es la relación entre la ciencia y la religión en cuya dialéctica el autor sitúa el transhumanismo. Reconociendo que su primer paso es la mejora de la vida cotidiana de las personas, en realidad, la pretensión es mejorar el ser humano trascendiéndolo y creando una nueva especia transhumana que traerá consigo también la superación de nuestros límites y de la misma muerte. Situando el transhumanismo en el paradigma tecnocrático, el autor plantea sus promesas como una especie de tecnoreligión frente a la cual es necesario posicionarse revitalizando el diálogo entre teología y ciencia para evitar excesos ideológicos que terminen manipulando o destruyendo al ser humano.

The starting point of the study is the relationship between science and religion in whose dialectic the author situates transhumanism. Recognizing that its first step is the improvement of people’s daily lives, in reality, the aim is to improve the human beings by transcending them and creating a new transhuman species that will also bring with it the overcoming of our limits and death itself. Placing transhumanism in the technocratic paradigm, the author raises his promises as a kind of technoreligion against which it is necessary to take a stand, revitalising the dialogue between theology and science in order to avoid ideological excesses that end up manipulating or destroying the human being.
