Beslán un punto de inflexión en la lucha contra el terrorismo checheno

Abstract

Los prolegómenos del tercer aniversario del 11-S han supuesto un contraataque del terrorismo internacional. Los atentados de Beer-Sheva, Moscú, Tula, Grozni, Taba y sobre todo la masacre de Beslán son una nueva vuelta de tuerca para las sociedades que sufren esta nueva plaga. El terrorismo trata de desvertebrar las sociedades haciendo aflorar los sentimientos más primarios tal como afirma Bruce Hofman: terrorists seek to elicit and irrational emotional response El caos es sin lugar a dudas uno de los deseos terroristas ya que, al igual que pretendía el terrorismo anarquista en el siglo XIX, éste busca acabar con el orden social. El atentado de Beslán ha reforzado un hecho que se dio con el 11-S, la necesidad de descontextualizar el terrorismo, es decir, de centrarnos en sus trágicas consecuencias evitando justificarlo con causas ancladas en el tiempo. Es fundamental evitar estas tragedias ya que la sociedad se resiente y ve destruidos sus fundamentos sociales y democráticos. La descontextualización del terrorismo es un concepto atribuible a Richard Perle. Se trata de ver que ninguna causa puede justificar acciones terroristas aunque, como en el caso de Chechenia, se hayan vulnerado los derechos humanos a lo largo de la historia.
