Concentración cristológica de la expiación en el Nuevo Testamento

Abstract

En este artículo abordamos el concepto de "expiación" en el Nuevo Testamento -fundamentalmente a través de los cinco textos en los que se utiliza la terminología técnica de la expiación" (Rm 3,25; Heb 2,17; 9,5; IJn 2,2; 4,10)- para obtener los datos bíblicos imprescindibles que en el futuro nos permitan realizar una reflexión teológica sobre el concepto cristiano de "expiación". Concluimos que, aunque el Nuevo Testamento bebe del Antiguo en cuanto a la comprensión básica de la expiación, en él se da una concentración cristológica de características que, en la concepción veterotestamentaria, pertenecen a diversos actores.

In this article the concept of «expiation» in the New Testament is addressed ─primarily through the five texts in which the technical terminology of expiation is used (Rm 3,25; Heb 2,17; 9,5; 1Jn 2.2; 4,10)─ to obtain the essential biblical data that would allow us in the future to make a theological reflection on the Christian concept of «expiation». We conclude that, although the New Testament depends on the Old regarding the basic understanding of expiation, a Christological concentration of characteristics is found; features which, in the Old Testament’s conception, belong to different actors.
