Fe y ciencia

Abstract

Atravesamos un cambio de época en el que emergen nuevos modelos explicativos que cuestionan las cosmovisiones tradicionales en las que la fe se ha inculturado. La ciencia, los feminismos, la ecología, la revolución digital, la pluralidad cultural y religiosa, la cultura de los derechos humanos, la sexualidad, etc., son algunos de los nuevos horizontes que retan hoy a la teología a hacer una hermenéutica crítica de la acción de Dios en la historia a la vez que exigen como respuesta una fe liberadora. Por eso el punto de llegada de la reflexión de la fe no puede ser un mero saber o una inteligencia de la misma, sino una ?inteligencia del amor? (Jon Sobrino). Por todo ello nos urge una nueva mirada sobre la realidad, que sepa estar atenta y discernir quiénes son hoy los nuevos sujetos, cuáles son las sensibilidades, temáticas, propuestas y demandas emergentes o pendientes y cómo afectan a nuestra comprensión y práctica de la fe. En este sentido, un año más la Cátedra de Teología Contemporánea ?José Antonio Romeo? del Colegio Mayor Universitario Chaminade de Madrid ha pretendido contribuir a que la teología no se convierta en un sistema cerrado sino en un proyecto abierto, en estado de reforma, en permanente diálogo con la cultura, a la escucha de los nuevo sujetos emergentes y los signos de los tiempos. Ahora el lector tiene en sus manos el libro coral aunque unitario al que han dado lugar los textos del curso sobre Sentires emergentes y fe: en todos ellos ?divulgativos, informados, reflexivos, críticos, propositivos- se escucha no sólo el rigor del experto sino sobre todo la voz del creyente comprometido, que quiere iluminar el itinerario cristiano en el momento presente.

We are going through a change of era in which new explanatory models are emerging that question the traditional worldviews in which faith has been inculturated. Science, feminism, ecology, the digital revolution, cultural and religious plurality, the culture of human rights, sexuality, etc., are some of the new horizons that today challenge theology to make a critical hermeneutics of God's action in history while demanding a liberating faith as a response. For this reason, the point of arrival of the reflection on faith cannot be a mere knowledge or an understanding of it, but rather an ?intelligence of love? (Jon Nephew). For all these reasons, we urgently need a new look at reality, one that knows how to be attentive and discern who the new subjects are today, what are the sensitivities, themes, proposals and emerging or pending demands and how they affect our understanding and practice of faith. In this sense, one more year the Chair of Contemporary Theology ?José Antonio Romeo? of the Colegio Mayor Universitario Chaminade in Madrid has tried to contribute so that theology does not become a closed system but rather an open project, in a state of reform, in permanent dialogue with culture, listening to the new emerging subjects and the signs of the times. Now the reader has in his hands the collective albeit unitary book to which the texts of the course on Emerging Sentires and Faith have given rise: in all of them -informative, informed, reflective, critical, propositional- one hears not only the rigor of the expert but also especially the voice of the committed believer, who wants to illuminate the Christian journey at the present moment.
