Potere e autorità in una chiesa sinodale

Abstract

Este capítulo analiza conceptos ineludibles en un tratamiento de la sinodalidad y de la reforma: el poder y la autoridad. El autor procede en tres momentos. En primer lugar, presta atención a la Escritura, desde la convicción de que la mejor forma de autoridad será la que corresponda más fielmente a las exigencias del Evangelio; con este objetivo recoge las enseñanzas del NT que están a la base de un ejercicio real del poder concebido como servicio. En segundo lugar, plantea el problema de la democracia en la Iglesia como cuestión eclesiológica. En tercer lugar, con ayuda del documento de la CTI sobre la sinodalidad (2019) esboza algunas claves teológicas del ejercicio del poder y de la autoridad en una Iglesia sinodal.

This chapter analyzes inescapable concepts in a treatment of synodality and reform: power and authority. The author proceeds in three moments. In the first place, pay attention to Scripture, from the conviction that the best form of authority will be the one that corresponds most faithfully to the demands of the Gospel; with this objective, this study collects the teachings of the NT that are based on a real exercise of power conceived as service. Second, it poses the problem of democracy in the Church as an ecclesiological issue. Thirdly, with the help of the CTI document on synodality (2019), it outlines some theological keys to the exercise of power and authority in a synodal Church.
