Creencia, facticidad y libertad en el formalismo ético kantiano.

Abstract

Si el imperativo categórico es susceptible de una interpretación formalista, su regla, en la medida en que busca la conversión de la forma de la máxima en el asentimiento incondicionado a la ley, pasando por el «poder querer» que define nuestra conciencia moral, descubre que el carácter regulador del postulado de la libertad, en cuanto origen nouménico de la razón práctica, estriba en la posibilidad de creer o no creer en nuestra humanidad. La práctica de la razón, entonces, consistiría en la búsqueda fáctica de un camino de confianza en la humanidad que se expresa en la creación de leyes morales, cuya materia y fin último se funda en la inagotable comprensión interindividual.

If the categorical imperative can introduce to a formalist interpretation, its rule, as far as pursues the conversion of the form of the maxim in the unconditional assent of the law, throughout the “may want” that defines our moral conscience, discovers that the regulative nature of the postulate of freedom as noumenic origin of practical rea- son, consists in believing or not believing in our humanity. The practice of reason, then, consist in the factic search of a way of trust in humanity that is expressed in the creation of moral laws whose matter or final end is funded on the inextinguishable inter-individual understanding.
