Die entartete Kunst. Una paradójica historia sobre la ideologización del arte

Abstract

En este artículo se analiza el caso del Arte Degenerado, o Entartete Kunst, y su instrumentalización propagandística dentro del aparato del régimen nacionalsocialista, en contraste con la visión actual respecto a este arte entonces condenado. Se presenta también el caso particular de Emil Nolde. Visto como uno de los artistas tildado de degenerado más representativos de tal facción de Vanguardia opuesta a los criterios estéticos del Reich, resultaba ser miembro del NSDAP, dándose en este caso el proceso inverso, quizá una lectura negativa condicionada por su filiación política. Queda planteada así la cuestión acerca del papel jugado por la lectura ideológica sobre el valor artístico de un artista y de su obra y el lugar de este criterio en el ámbito de la Estética en la actualidad.

The case of Degenerate Art, Entartete Kunst, and its propagandistic instrumentalization within the apparatus of the National Socialist regime, is analyzed in this article, in contrast with the current view about this art, which was condemned those days. It is also showed the singular case of Emil Nolde, considered as one of the most representative degenerate artists of such avant-garde faction opposed to the aesthetic criteria of the Reich, who was a member of the NSDAP. In this case take place the reverse process, perhaps a negative view could be conditioned by his political affiliation. The question here is the influence of ideological interpretation on the artistic value of an artist and his work and the place of this criterion today in the Aesthetics study area.
