Las redes sociales en la investigación social: ¿Se ha de desarrollar nuevas metodologías o se ha de adaptar a las ya existentes?

Abstract

Se estudia los retos y dificultades a los que se enfrentan los investigadores para realizar investigaciones sociales en redes sociales, se identifican los problemas con respecto al acceso a los datos, se cuestiona si la metodología que se usa es suficiente, se revisa los temas que se tratan y se repasan las tendencias actuales en estos tipos de análisis.

This article reflects on the challenges and difficulties faced by researchers wishing to carry out social research in social media. Problems regarding data access are identified, while the author questions whether the methodology used is sufficient. The main topics in these types of analyses are identified and the appropriateness of current trends is reviewed.
