Intervención cognitivo-conductual en celotipia: un caso clínico.

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se expone un estudio de caso único, en el que se aborda el tratamiento de los celos patológicos presentes en el miembro femenino de una pareja heterosexual. A este respecto, detallamos el trabajo psicoterapéutico realizado tanto de manera individual como en la pareja, y los resultados obtenidos tras 16 sesiones de psicoterapia. El plan de tratamiento se elabora bajo los principios del enfoque cognitivo-conductual, dada su demostrada eficacia en la intervención de éste síndrome. Con ello, finalmente, se destaca la complejidad y los numerosos factores que rodean a la presencia de los celos patológicos. Las numerosas variables implicadas, resaltan la necesidad de aplicar un plan de tratamiento que aborde diferentes áreas de la vida del paciente.

This article shows a bibliographic review on pathological jealousy and analyses the variables involved in its origin and maintenance. The information gathered proves the clinical importance of disassembling the myths and romantic perspective that still impregnates our couple relationships nowadays. Furthermore, we expose the analysis of a single case studio, in which the treatment of the pathological jealousy in the female counterpart of a heterosexual couple is approached. In this regard, the article shows thoroughly the psychotherapeutic procedure which was performed in both individually and by couple and the obtained results after 16 psychotherapeutic sessions. The treatment plan is elaborated under the principles of the cognitive behavioural stream, due to its proven effectiveness in the intervention of this syndrome. Finally, the complexity and the numerous factors underlying pathological jealousy are highlighted. The number of variables involved, highlights the necessity of applying a treatment that overtakes different areas of the patient's life.
