In this article the question whether it is possible to talk today about the drama of atheistic humanism, as Henri de Lubac did in his well-known work, is addressed. Approaching the issue from the philosophical and the theological point of view, we conclude that today's drama, more than atheistic humanism, is non transcendent humanism: that which closes the possibility of transcendence for the human being, either as an affirmation or at least as a question. |
