Resumen : .
This study investigates the impact of two consecutive competitive field hockey matches on the maximal isometric hip adductor and abductor strength, wellness, and fatigue in professional female field hockey players. Fourteen players participated in the study, and their strength levels were assessed before and after each match, as well as 48 hours after the second match. Locomotion patterns were tracked during the matches, and perceived exertion was evaluated. Wellness and fatigue were assessed using the Wellness Questionnaire and the Total Quality Recovery Scale. The results showed a decrease in hip adductor and abductor strength, particularly in the non-dominant limb, after the second match, and increased fatigue and muscle soreness. This study highlights the importance of monitoring player fatigue and strength in congested match schedules, offering insights for player well-being and performance.
