Los deberes constitucionales

Abstract

Del mismo modo que nuestra Constitución reconoce derechos, recoge también el conjunto de obligaciones que las personas tienen hacia el Estado y la sociedad. De entre estas obligaciones, nuestra Carta Magna da particular importancia al respeto a los derechos ajenos, al sostenimiento de los gastos públicos, a la defensa nacional, el respeto al medio ambiente y a cumplir el ordenamiento jurídico. Los deberes constitucionales constituyen un límite y un complemento necesario de los derechos fundamentales, garantizando que el ejercicio de las libertades individuales no afecte negativamente al interés general ni a los derechos de los demás miembros de la comunidad.

In the same way that our Constitution recognizes rights, it also includes the set of obligations that people have towards the State and society. Among these obligations, our Magna Carta gives particular importance to respect for the rights of others, the support of public expenditure, national defense, respect for the environment and compliance with the legal system. Constitutional duties constitute a limit and a necessary complement to fundamental rights, guaranteeing that the exercise of individual freedoms does not adversely affect the general interest or the rights of other members of the community.
