Viejos y nuevos riesgos para la infancia: estrategias públicas para afrontarlos

Abstract

El capítulo 2 del Informe España 2024 aborda los riesgos actuales que afectan a la infancia y las estrategias públicas para enfrentarlos. Se analizan iniciativas de la UE, el Consejo de Europa y el Gobierno de España en materia de protección infantil. Se destacan tres temas principales:

Derecho a vivir en familia: La necesidad de transformar el sistema de protección infantil en España, priorizando el acogimiento familiar sobre el institucional. Salud mental infantil: Aumento de problemas de salud mental en niños y adolescentes, con preocupantes cifras de suicidio y trastornos emocionales. Impacto de las pantallas: Riesgos de adicción, acceso a contenidos inadecuados (como la pornografía) y ciberacoso. Se enfatiza la necesidad de políticas públicas más efectivas y con mayor financiación para garantizar el bienestar de la infancia.
