Proyecto educativo: manejo del traumatismo penetrante

Abstract

Los traumatismos penetrantes son lesiones causadas por objetos o fuerzas que penetran la piel y los tejidos subyacentes. Puede producirse por armas blancas, por armas de fuego u otros objetos. Este tipo de lesiones entrañan una gran gravedad ya que su afectación a nivel interno puede provocar la desestabilización rápida de un paciente. Por ello, se deben conocer las principales patologías que se pueden dar en función de las zonas afectadas para un rápido y preciso manejo por parte de la atención prehospitalaria. El objetivo principal de este proyecto se basa en aumentar y afianzar esos conocimientos necesarios de los profesionales de la atención extrahospitalaria del servicio SAMUR para la realización de un manejo rápido y efectivo del paciente inestable con un traumatismo penetrante. Realizándose a través de un proyecto educativo dirigido a estos profesionales. Este proyecto educativo supondrá, para el personal de enfermería del SAMUR, una mejora en el manejo inicial, en el período prehospitalario, del paciente con un traumatismo penetrante.

Penetrating trauma is injuries caused by objects or forces that penetrate the skin and underlying tissues. It can be caused by knives, firearms or other objects. These types of injuries are very serious since their internal involvement can cause the rapid destabilization of a patient. Therefore, the main pathologies that can occur depending on the affected areas must be known for rapid and precise management by prehospital care. The main objective of this project is based on increasing and strengthening the necessary knowledge of the out-of-hospital care professionals of the SAMUR service to carry out rapid and effective management of the unstable patient with penetrating trauma. Being carried out through an educational project aimed at these professionals. This educational project will mean, for the SAMUR nursing staff, an improvement in the initial management, in the pre-hospital period, of the patient with penetrating trauma.
