Proyecto educativo: Método Madre Canguro en niños con piel de mariposa

Abstract

Introducción: el Método Madre Canguro tiene múltiples beneficios para los recién nacidos y sus padres, conllevando a mejoras en el sistema inmunitario, las necesidades fisiológicas del niño y el vínculo entre ellos mismos. La piel de mariposa es una patología que afecta directamente a los niños la padecen, provocándoles al más mínimo contacto o roce heridas y ampollas en la piel. Se necesita encontrar la solución para poder realizar el Método Madre Canguro con estos niños, intentando reducir las posibles heridas que les puede provocar este contacto piel con piel. Objetivo: conseguir realizar el Método Madre Canguro en niños con piel de mariposa, sin tener consecuencias en su piel. Metodología: se trata de proyecto educativo para enseñar a las familias y profesionales sobre cómo realizar el Método Madre Canguro en niños con piel de mariposa, evitando cualquier posible herida al provocar el contacto piel con piel. Implicaciones para la práctica enfermera: este proyecto ayuda a los profesionales sanitarios a realizar de manera correcta el Método Madre Canguro en niños con epidermólisis bullosa y ser capaces de ayudar a las familias de estos a implementar cuidados para una mejor vida del paciente.

Introduction: The Kangaroo Mother Care Method has multiple benefits for newborns and their parents, leading to improvements in the immune system, the physiological needs of the child and the bond between them. Butterfly skin is a pathology that directly affects children, causing wounds and blisters on the skin at the slightest contact or friction. A solution needs to be found to be able to perform the Kangaroo Mother Care Method with these children, trying to reduce the possible wounds that this skin- to-skin contact can cause. Objective: to be able to perform the Kangaroo Mother Care Method on children with butterfly skin, without having consequences on their skin. Methodology: this is an educational project to teach families and professionals how to perform the Kangaroo Mother Care Method on children with butterfly skin, avoiding any possible wounds caused by skin-to-skin contact. Implications for nursing practice: this project helps healthcare professionals correctly perform Kangaroo Mother Care in children with epidermolysis bullosa and help their families implement care to improve the patient's life
