Proyecto educativo: La enfermedad de Crohn en gestantes

Abstract

Introducción: La enfermedad de Crohn es la inflamación de una parte del tubo digestivo, es un trastorno crónico y aunque su causa exacta no se conoce con certeza, sabemos que es una respuesta de nuestro sistema inmune hacia el propio organismo, además de una interacción compleja entre factores genéticos y ambientales. Esta patología suele manifestarse en adultos jóvenes o incluso la adolescencia, coincidiendo con la etapa en la que las mujeres se encuentran en su máxima fertilidad y esto puede generar dudas e incertidumbre en torno a la planificación familiar, la fertilidad y el embarazo. Objetivo: Comprender las características de la enfermedad y como afectan a las mujeres gestantes, es esencial para tener un embarazo seguro y sin complicaciones, a través de este trabajo se busca concienciar e informar con el objetivo de facilitar decisiones informadas y promover el bienestar materno- fetal. Metodología: Se va a desarrollar un proyecto educativo dirigido a aquellas mujeres en edad fértil, diagnosticadas con enfermedad de Crohn y que tengan seguimiento en el Hospital Gregorio Marañón. Impacto en la atención de enfermería: La enfermedad de Crohn en gestantes presenta una serie de desafíos y consideraciones que requieren una atención enfermera especializada. El manejo adecuado de estas pacientes demanda un enfoque integral, que no solo se enfoque en los aspectos clínicos de la enfermedad, sino también en la salud emocional y psicológica de la madre. Los profesionales de enfermería deben ser capaces de identificar los síntomas de la enfermedad, las complicaciones asociadas al embarazo y proporcionar educación adecuada sobre el tratamiento y la nutrición.

Introduction: Crohn's disease is the inflammation of a part of the digestive tract, it is a chronic disorder and although its exact cause is not known with certainty, we know that it is a response of our immune system towards the organism itself, in addition to a complex interaction between genetic and environmental factors. This pathology usually manifests itself in young adults or even adolescence, coinciding with the stage when women are at their peak fertility and this can generate doubts and uncertainty about family planning, fertility and pregnancy. Objective: Understanding the characteristics of the disease and how it affects pregnant women is essential for a safe and complication-free pregnancy. This work seeks to raise awareness and inform with the aim of facilitating informed decisions and promoting maternal and foetal wellbeing. Methodology: An educational project will be developed for women of childbearing age diagnosed with Crohn's disease and who are being monitored at the Gregorio Maranon Hospital. Impact on nursing care: Crohn's disease in pregnant women presents several challenges and considerations that require specialised nursing care. Appropriate management of these patients demands a holistic approach, focusing not only on the clinical aspects of the disease, but also on the emotional and psychological health of the mother. Nurses must be able to identify the symptoms of the disease, the complications associated with pregnancy and provide appropriate education on treatment and nutrition.
