Resumen
La Lactancia Materna (LM) es el arte de amamantar a un hijo y aunque es un acto natural, también es un comportamiento aprendido. Esta es la frase que mejor define el significado de la lactancia. Cuando nace un niño, la mayoría de las madres deciden alimentar a sus hijos de la forma más natural y empiezan a darle el pecho instintivamente, pero no todas son capaces de mantenerla durante el tiempo recomendado y abandonan este tipo de alimentación precozmente. Los motivos son muy diversos, y aunque la mayoría tienen una fácil solución, muchas madres no lo saben porque en su momento no han sido correctamente informadas ni formadas al respecto.
La educación sanitaria ejerce un papel fundamental para la instauración y mantenimiento de la LM, por ello, y dado la importancia que tiene en el desarrollo de un niño, se ha elaborado este proyecto educativo dirigido a futuras madres que estén interesadas en aprender y entender la importancia de este arte. Breastfeeding is the art of suckle a child and although it is a natural act, breastfeeding is also a learned behavior. This is the phrase that best defines the meaning of breastfeeding. When a child is born, most mothers choose to feed their children in the most natural and begin to breastfeed instinctively, but not all are able to maintain it for the recommended time and leave early this diet. The reasons are varied, and while most of those reasons have an easy solution, many mothers do not know it at the time because they have not been properly informed about and trained.
Health education plays a key role in the establishment and maintenance of breastfeeding, therefore, and given the importance of the development of a child has been prepared this educational project aimed at mothers who are interested in learning and understanding the importance of this art.
