La voz de las migraciones cubanas “Una realidad 2.0”

Abstract

Tras el estallido de la Revolución Cubana en 1959 comienza en Cuba una nueva etapa de su historia como consecuencia de sus oleadas migratorias. El motivo más claro que aporta este proyecto es conocer de primera mano la voz de esas migraciones cubanas y su impacto tanto a nivel nacional como internacional, habida cuenta del momento histórico-político de acercamiento con EEUU. En este sentido, la historia de vida, como investigación cualitativa, me ha permitido conocer a través de sus entrevistas, la situación previa a la salida de aquellos que emigraron y los que no, los motivos de su desplazamiento, la elección del país de acogida, su acogimiento, sus experiencias relacionales, y el posible retorno a su país de origen, descubriendo tras ello una realidad para muchos desconocida.

After the outbreak of the Cuban Revolution in 1959, in Cuba begins a new stage of its own history as a result of their migratory waves. The clearest reason that offers this project is to learn first-hand the voice of those migrants and realize its impact in a national and international level, with special attention to its historical and political stage of rapprochement with the United States. In this sense, the history of life, as qualitative research, has allowed me to know, through their interviews, their situation before left the country or the life of those who remained in the island, the reasons for their displacement and the choice of the host country, their placement, relational experiences, and the possible return to their country of origin. Discovering at all time, a reality for many unknown.
