El sector textil español en una Unión Europea de 27
Abstract
El sector textil europeo, comenzó su industrialización gracias a los avances tecnológicos provenientes del Reino Unido. Estos avances se incorporaron durante el siglo XIX al resto de los países, aunque no al mismo tiempo en todos. En el presente trabajo se va a analizar además del Reino Unido, cómo se incorporaron a Italia, Francia y España todos esos avances en el sector textil. Cada uno de estos países consiguió diferenciarse del otro mediante la especialización, así, en Italia se fraguó el prêt-à-porter, en Francia la Alta Costura, en España la fast fashion y en el Reino Unido, la producción de tejido. Todo esto unido, en un mercado único, hizo del sector textil un sector fuerte en el mercado único europeo.
Ahora, con la salida del Reino Unido de la Unión Europea (Brexit), esta especialización exige plantear cuáles pueden ser los efectos que tendrá y ya está pudiendo tener el Brexit sobre la economía del sector textil en estos países, y más concretamente, en España. The European textile sector began its industrialization thanks to the technological advances coming from the United Kingdom. These advances were applied during the nineteenth century to the rest of the countries, although not at the same time in all. In this paper we will analyze, in addition to the United Kingdom, how all these advances in the textile sector were added into Italy, France and Spain. Each of these countries managed to differentiate itself from the other through specialization, thus, in Italy the prêt-à-porter was created, in France Haute Couture, in Spain the fast fashion and in the United Kingdom, the production of fabric. All this together, in a single market, made the textile sector a strong sector in the European single market.
Now, with the departure of the United Kingdom from the European Union (Brexit), this specialization demands to ask what can be the effects that Brexit will have and is already having in the economy of the textile sector in these countries, and more specifically, in Spain.
