Proyecto educativo dirigido a los padres con hijos con Síndrome de Asperger recién diagnosticados

Abstract

El objetivo principal de este proyecto educativo es que los padres con hijos recién diagnosticados de Síndrome de Asperger, sean capaces de afrontar la enfermedad de su hijo con aceptación y reducción de la ansiedad que la propia enfermedad crea en los padres. Durante las sesiones se les explicará en que consiste la enfermedad, la actuación ante los comportamientos y la relajación ante las situaciones difíciles. Los resultados de este proyecto se evaluarán al mes y a los 6 meses después de la última sesión; se intentará mostrar una reducción de la ansiedad y mayor conocimiento de la enfermedad. Además en este proyecto se enseñará a reducir la carga del cuidador principal en su vida diaria.

The primary aim with this Education Project is to teach parents, whose children have been recently diagnosed with Asperger´s Syndrome, to confront their disease with acceptance, but likewise to instruct them how to boil down the anxiety induced by this Syndrome. During these sessions they will explain to parents what this disease consists of and they will teach them how to react to behavior caused by this syndrome and also instruct them how to maintain calm in the most difficult situations. The terminations of this Project will be valuated in a month and subsequently the last session, they will probably indicate a decrease in the anxiety levels and a more proficient knowledge about this disease from parents.
