DEMOGRAFIA Y ECONOMIA. OPORTUNIDADES Y RETOS PARA EL SECTOR TURÍSTICO FRENTE A POBLACIÓN DE LA TERCERA EDAD EN LA COSTA BLANCA

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene por objeto llevar a cabo un estudio exhaustivo de la situación en la que se encuentra el turismo de la tercera edad en la Costa Blanca actualmente, estudiando la viabilidad de posibles fuentes de oportunidades para mercados interesados. A lo largo del mismo se analizan las características de la demanda del turista de la tercera edad de la Costa Blanca, así como se hace un análisis completo del impacto del turismo residencial en esta zona y del acceso a los servicios sanitarios públicos en toda la provincia de Alicante desagregando los datos por sexo, edad y nacionalidad, para posteriormente llegar a una serie de conclusiones en torno al futuro del mismo en vías de posibles mejoras para atraer a un mayor número de población. Por ello, esta investigación se centrará en el estudio de la población extranjera de la Costa Blanca que resulta esencial en el estudio del turismo residencial. Tras el análisis se llega a la conclusión de que este sector presenta una importante fuente de oportunidades que podrían ser explotadas por diferentes entidades que estén interesadas en este sector.

The purpose of this investigation is to carry out an exhaustive study of the currently situation in which the elderly tourism is in the Costa Blanca in order to study the viability of possible sources of opportunities for interested markets. Along this study, it is analyzed the characteristics of the demand of this kind of tourism in this place, as well as a complete analysis is made of the impact of the residential tourism and the access to the public health service in the province of Alicante dividing the figures by sex, age and nationality, reaching a several conclusions about the future of this tourism in the Costa Blanca in order to improve the implication of a larger number of population. Moreover, this research will be also focus on the study of the foreign population in the Costa Blanca who is essential in the residential tourism. After this analysis, it is concluded that this sector shows an important sources of opportunities which can be exploited by different entities that are interested in this market.
