Eficacia de los Ácidos grasos hiperoxigenados en la prevención de úlceras por presión en pacientes con Alzheimer avanzado

Abstract

This experimental study aims to prove the effectiveness of hyper-oxygenated fatty acids in the prevention of pressure ulcers in patients with severe Alzheimer's disease who are institutionalized. Studies proved to be effective. The type of study that intends to implement a controlled randomized to a control group and an experimental group, in order to analyze the data for significant differences trial. The sample is 30 patients (15 in each group). Both groups will apply the same preventive measures to bedsores center and only experimental group will receive the application of a compound of hyper-oxygenated fatty acids. It is used topically three times daily and data collection is once a week.
