Consecuencias económicas y fiscales de una hipotética independencia de Cataluña.

Abstract

Los fines soberanistas de los partidos independentistas catalanes, han marcado considerablemente la última década de nuestro país. Todo ello, unido a los recientes hechos ocurridos el 1 de octubre, han planteado que ese deseo pueda llegar a quebrantar la unidad de España y convertirse en una realidad. Dejando a un lado la cuestión sobre la legalidad del procedimiento elegido para alcanzar dicha pretensión; y el aspecto político que entraña el tema, se profundizara en la política fiscal catalana. Junto a ello, se intentará reflejar en un marco hipotético cuales serían, en el corto plazo, las consecuencias macroeconómicas inmediatas de una independencia de Cataluña. En cuanto al largo plazo resulta interesante analizar su “supuesta” inclusión en la Unión Europea y como todo ello podría afectar a su viabilidad como Estado independiente. Las diversas variables elegidas, así como la opinión de autores con distintas ideologías, permitirán contrastar toda la información posible para llevar a cabo este trabajo con la mayor objetividad posible.

The sovereign aims of Catalan independence political parties have marked the last decade of our country. Thus, together with the recent events that occurred on October, have stated that this appeal can threat the unity of Spain and become real. Setting aside the legality of the procedure chosen to achieve this claim and the political aspect of the issue, this paper will deepen the tax implication that entails the Catalan independence. In the short term, we will place in a hypothetical framework, the immediate macroeconomic consequences of an independence of Catalonia. Regarding the long term, an analysis of its supposed inclusion in the European Union will be carried out and how everything can affect its feasibility as an independent State. A wide range of economic aspects, as well as the opinion of authors from different ideologies and backgrounds, will be contrasted against as much information as possible in order to develop this work with the greatest possible impartiality.
