Intervención Educativa para el familiar del paciente alcohólico en el CAD de Villaverde
Abstract
En España, como a nivel europeo, el alcoholismo representa una de las patologías de mayor prevalencia, siendo una causa considerable de mortalidad prematura.
Socialmente el consumo de alcohol en los últimos años ha ido adquiriendo mayor importancia debido a los graves problemas de salud y la gran dependencia que crea, considerándose actualmente a nivel sanitario uno de los principales problemas de salud pública.
Las repercusiones que causa el alcoholismo son múltiples y muy complejas, de tal manera que no sólo se ve perjudicado el propio enfermo, sino que además con el tiempo es la familia quien resulta más gravemente afectada.
Sin embargo, existiendo actualmente recursos suficientes para proporcionar ayuda a dichos familiares, se ha detectado una minoría de familias que solicitan apoyo para hacer frente a esta situación. La tendencia a dar prioridad al enfermo sin proporcionar en muchas ocasiones la importancia que tiene a su entorno, a su familia, es uno de los principales motivos de la escasa búsqueda de recursos y apoyo por parte de dichos familiares.
Por consiguiente, este proyecto educativo va dirigido al familiar del paciente alcohólico. Se trata de una intervención educativa de duración corta que tiene como objetivo principal lograr una mejora en la calidad de vida de estas personas a través del desarrollo de conocimientos básicos sobre la patología alcohólica y el aprendizaje de una serie de habilidades y actitudes para el manejo de situaciones problemáticas en el entorno familiar.
El proyecto se llevará a cabo a lo largo de seis semanas, en el Centro de Atención a las
Drogodependencias de Villaverde, entre los meses de septiembre y octubre del 2017. In Spain, as at European level alcoholism represents one of the most prevalent pathologies, a considerable cause of premature mortality.

The repercussions caused by alcoholism are multiple and very complex, in such a way that not only the patient himself is harmed, but over time it is the family that is most seriously affected.
However, at present there are sufficient resources to provide assistance to such relatives, a minority of families have been identified as requesting support to deal with this situation. The tendency to give priority to the patient without providing in many occasions the importance that he has to his environment, his family, is one of the main reasons for the poor search for resources and support by the family members.
Consequently, this educational project is aimed at the family member of the alcoholic patient. lt is a short-term educational intervention whose main objective is to achieve an improvement in the quality of life of these people through the development of basic knowledge about alcoholic pathology and the learning of a series of skills and altitudes for the management of Situations in the family environment.
The project will be carried out over a period of six weeks, at the Villaverde Drug Center, between September and October 2017.
