dc.description.abstract | This paper is carried out in the field of socially responsible investment, whose role in the market has been growing in recent decades. Specifically, the aim of it is to study the main characteristics of the so-called sustainable funds, in order to gain a better understanding of this new style of investment and to observe whether these financial instruments are capable of generating a return similar to that of traditional investment funds. To this end, an empirical study has been elaborated with a small sample of sustainable funds, to analyze their profitability over the last three years and compare them with similar conventional funds. Moreover, thanks to a similar analysis made with indexes, a geographical variable was added. The first results obtained suggest the existence of a great similarity between both types of funds, in terms of profitability, although the differences between regions in the behavior of sustainable investment are significant. | en-GB |
