Abstract

Nos encontramos inmersos de lleno en la 4ª Revolución Industrial, con todo lo que ello implica. Estos años venideros van a ser clave, tanto para el desarrollo económico, como en el ámbito social y ético. Es primordial que entendamos a que nos enfrentamos y que retos y oportunidades se nos presentan, para ser así capaces de prosperar como sociedad con responsabilidad. La tecnología nos brinda una capacidad hasta ahora desconocida, y han de ser las personas loa que establezcan los limites morales y éticos. El futuro es siempre algo incierto, pero no por ello hay que cerrarse al cambio. Hay que conocerlo y abrazarlo, para sacarle así el máximo potencial y desechar todo aquello que pueda ser perjudicial para la sociedad.

We are fully immersed in the 4th Industrial Revolution, with all that it implies. These coming years are going to be key, both for economic development and in the social and ethical spheres. It is essential that we understand what we are facing and what challenges and opportunities are presented to us, in order to be able to prosper as a society with responsibility. Technology provides us with a hitherto unknown capacity, and it is up to us to set the moral and ethical limits. The future is always uncertain, but that does not mean that we should close ourselves off from change. We must know it and embrace it, so that we can make the most of its potential and discard anything that might be harmful to society.
