A la búsqueda de la excelencia ética : eficacia y responsabilidad. Análisis comparativo de los instrumentos en Cooperación Internacional al Desarrollo y Ayuda Humanitaria en España

Abstract

La Ayuda Humanitaria y la Cooperación Internacional al Desarrollo han enfrentado grandes obstáculos para restaurar su imagen tras innumerables situaciones que han deslegitimizado sus valores a lo largo de los años. En este trabajo se investigan y comparan las herramientas éticas (normas, códigos de conducta, principios, autorregulaciones) en ambas dimensiones de la ayuda, y se analiza el estado actual de su coherencia en la práctica, o la falta de la misma, y el posible razonamiento detrás de esta realidad.

Humanitarian Aid and International Cooperation and Development have faced major obstacles in restoring their image after countless situations that have delegitimized their values over the years. This paper investigates and compares the ethical tools (norms, codes of conduct, principles, self-regulation) in both types of aid, and analyses the current state of the deliverance of ethical theory into the practice, or lack thereof, and the possible reasoning behind this reality.
