Proyecto educativo sobre formación al personal de enfermería sobre el colectivo “trans”

Abstract

Tras el gran aumento que está surgiendo de la población transexual y otras diversidades de carácter sexual, junto con la evidente falta de preparación por parte del personal de enfermería es necesaria una formación acorde a las necesidades de esta población. Este trabajo, la intención que tiene es entender más a los pacientes “trans” desde una perspectiva bio-psico-social para poder ayudarlos de la mejor manera posible cuando sean tratados en una consulta de atención primaria. Con tal fin, se desarrolla un proyecto educativo, para lograr una profundización en el conocimiento sobre este colectivo minoritario, realizado en la DASE (Dirección Asistencial sureste) de la Comunidad de Madrid y dirigido concretamente a los enfermeros que desempeñan su función en los centros de atención primaria. La bibliografía sobre este tema, es reducida por no haber muchos estudios y registros fiables.

After the great increase that is arising of the transsexual population and other sexual diversities, amongst the evident lack of training on behalf of the nursing personnel, a formation according to the needs of this population is necessary. The intention of this essay is the better understanding of “trans” patients in a number of different areas with the aim of helping them in the best way possible when they are treated in a primary care facility. For that purpose, an educational project has been developed to achieve a deepening of knowledge about this minority group, carried out in the DASE (Dirección Asistencial sureste) of the Community of Madrid and directed specifically to nurses who perform their function in primary care centres. The bibliography on this subject is reduced because there are not many reliable studies and records.
