dc.description.abstract | The Muslim community is progressively more relevant in Spain. However, Halal products and services are not as developed as in other neighbouring countries. Therefore, there is a gap in a market with very specific needs and guidelines directly influenced by religion. The main objective of this project is to approach the market from the point of view of supply and demand in order to try to identify gaps in the supply of Halal products in the Spanish market. Likewise, the behaviour of Muslim consumers conditions the market. The Halal concept and the adaptations required are the basis for a successful market entry. Through the study of consumers together with qualitative research, an attempt is made to understand the needs and particularities of Halal consumers as well as the situation of the sectors that are most sensitive to these demands. Finally, recommendations and proposals are offered for Spanish companies to follow to take advantage of the uncovered opportunities in this market. | en-GB |
