El papel del trabajo social con víctimas del terrorismo

Abstract

El terrorismo se trata de un delito violento que ha condicionado la vida de numerosas personas a lo largo de la historia. España, concretamente, ha sido víctima de múltiples atentados por parte, tanto de grupos nacionales como internacionales. Como consecuencia de dichos atentados surgen multitud de víctimas que se ven afectadas a nivel físico, psíquico, social… Esta última área es donde interviene el trabajo social. Este, pretende, con la coordinación de otros profesionales de diferentes áreas, ofrecer a la víctima y su entorno, las herramientas suficientes para poder rehacer su vida después de haberse visto afectado por este impacto. Gracias a las legislaciones creadas en los últimos años en relación a la protección a víctimas de terrorismo, estas están más reconocidas y la intervención de los profesionales está más regulada y orientada a lograr una ayuda integral a todos los afectados por estos atentados. Además de las leyes que protegen y reconocen a las víctimas, se han creado una serie de unidades y asociaciones que se encargan de ejecutar lo establecido en estas y realizar un acompañamiento de las víctimas en todos los procesos que tenga que hacer frente a lo largo de su recuperación. Entre estos procesos puede plantearse la posibilidad de encuentros restaurativos con miembros retirados de las organizaciones terroristas con la finalidad de poder resolver las dudas que puedan tener las víctimas.

Terrorism is a violent crime that has conditioned the lives of many people throughout history. Spain, specifically, has been the victim of numerous attacks by both national and international groups. As a consequence of these attacks, a multitude of victims have been affected physically, psychologically, socially... This last area is where social work intervenes. This, with the coordination of other professionals from different areas, aims to offer the victim and their environment, the tools to rebuild their lives after having been affected by this impact. Thanks to the legislation created in recent years in relation to the protection of victims of terrorism, these are more recognized, and the intervention of professionals is more regulated and oriented to achieve comprehensive assistance to all those affected by these attacks. In addition to the laws that protect and recognize the victims, a series of units and associations have been created that are in charge of executing what is established in these laws and accompanying the victims in all the processes that they must face throughout their recovery. Among these processes, the possibility of restorative encounters with retired members of the terrorist organizations can be raised with the aim of being able to resolve any doubts that the victims may have.
