Annual syllabus for 3rd year Preschool : English and global learning with projects.

Abstract

Esta programación didáctica para el 3º curso de Educación Infantil cuenta con tres proyectos que se desarrollan durante quince unidades didácticas a lo largo del curso y se ha diseñado para un colegio ficticio en Torrelodones al noroeste de Madrid. La enseñanza de la primera lengua extranjera, inglés, tiene especial importancia en esta programación teniendo como objetivo principal conseguir que los alumnos aprecien y comprendan la utilidad de conocer distintos idiomas y les resulte interesante y entretenido. La metodología por la que se pretenden conseguir la adquisición de los contenidos y el cumplimiento de los objetivos es la de Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos. Esta metodología permite colocar al alumno como protagonista del proceso de aprendizaje, teniendo en cuenta sus ritmos, características, gustos e intereses de modo que se implique, se sienta valorado y perciba el proceso como algo ameno y agradable. De este modo se consigue un aprendizaje significativo y además se aprovechan las fortalezas de todos los alumnos para trabajar en equipo y conseguir un objetivo común. Por otro lado, el hilo conductor de los proyectos, los pueblos del mundo, permite trabajar el respeto, el aprecio por la diversidad o el conocimiento de otras culturas y partes del mundo entre otros. Esta programación persigue también conseguir una transición sencilla y agradable a la etapa de Educación Primaria.

This didactic programme for the third year of Infant Education has three projects which are developed during fifteen didactic units throughout the year and has been designed for a fictitious school in Torrelodones in the northwest of Madrid. The teaching of the first foreign language, English, is of special importance in this programme, the main objective being to ensure that students appreciate and understand the usefulness of knowing different languages and that they find it interesting and entertaining. The methodology used to achieve the acquisition of the contents and the fulfilment of the objectives is Project Based Learning. This methodology allows the student to be the protagonist of the learning process, taking into account their pace, characteristics, tastes and interests so that they become involved, feel valued and perceive the process as something pleasant and enjoyable. In this way, meaningful learning is achieved and the strengths of all students are used to work as a team and achieve a common goal. On the other hand, the common thread of the projects, the peoples of the world, allows them to work on respect, appreciation for diversity and knowledge of other cultures and parts of the world, among others. This programme also aims to provide a smooth and pleasant transition to the Primary Education stage.
