Proyecto educativo: Reiki. Complementando los cuidados paliativos en enfermería

Abstract

Introducción: Desde el inicio de los tiempos los seres humanos han tenido que lidiar con el dolor utilizando los recursos que la naturaleza les daba. Muchas de estas técnicas naturales se usaban hace miles de años y persisten hoy en día, sobre todo en países en desarrollo los cuales no tienen acceso a la gran variedad de medicina convencional ofrecida en nuestros días. Estas técnicas han ido perdiendo importancia debido al crecimiento excesivo de la ciencia y, por lo tanto, de la industria farmacéutica. Muchas de nuestras habilidades naturales para lograr la curación de algún síntoma a causa de los avances científicos, han sido sustituidas por fármacos. El dolor se alivia de una forma rápida y eficaz; sin embargo, el abuso prolongado de estas sustancias en ocasiones es dañina para nuestros órganos, y nos debilitan el organismo. Objetivo: El objetivo de este proyecto es ampliar la formación de enfermería en el Reiki. Este proyecto educativo pretende concienciar y enseñar a personas de referencia en el ámbito del cuidado de la salud, las enfermeras, de los beneficios de utilizar técnicas humanitarias que se complementen con la medicina convencional, no sustituyéndola en ningún caso. Las personas que están al final de sus días necesitan calidad de vida, y para ello se deben tratar no solo aquellos síntomas físicos causados por la enfermedad si no, proporcionarles salud en todas sus dimensiones. Por ello la intención de este proyecto educativo será trasmitir los conocimientos necesarios a los enfermeros que se dediquen a proporcionar cuidados paliativos, si bien todo aquel que quiera aprender, otros trabajadores del centro o familiares serán bienvenidos. Metodología: Se impartirán sesiones que permitan a los sanitarios tener conocimientos sobre el reiki, además de permitirles la posibilidad de aliviar los síntomas de los pacientes en estado paliativo.

Introduction: Since the beginning of time, human beings have had to deal with the pain by using the resources given by nature. Many of these natural techniques that were used thousands of years ago persist today, especially in developing countries with no access to the wide variety of conventional medicine offered these days. These techniques have been losing importance due to the excessive growth of science and, therefore, of the pharmaceutical industry. Many of our natural abilities to achieve the healing of some symptom have been replaced by drugs that relieve us in a rapid and effective way. However, the abuse of these substances is harmful to our organs, and they weaken the organism. Objetive: the objective of this project is to extend nursing training in Reiki. For this reason, this educational project aims to educate people of reference in the field of health care, nurses, of the benefits of using humanitarian techniques that complement conventional medicine, without replacing it in any case. People who are at the end of their days need quality of life, and to get this they must treat not only those physical symptoms caused by the disease, but also provide health in all areas of their person. Therefore, the intention of this educational project will be to share the necessary knowledge to the nurses who are dedicated to providing palliative care, although anyone who wants to learn, other workers at the center or family members will be welcome. Methodology: Classes will be given in order to allow health workers to have knowledge about this healing art, in addition to allowing them the possibility of alleviating the symptoms of people in palliative care.
