Análisis de los determinantes que han influido en el crecimiento económico de la UEFA Champions League.

Abstract

Sin duda, el fútbol es uno de los deportes más populares del mundo. No podemos hablar de fútbol sin referirnos a la región donde se originó: Europa; donde la competición más prestigiosa es la UEFA Champions League. Dicha competición ha experimentado un crecimiento exponencial hasta convertirse en uno de los torneos con más fuerza económica a nivel mundial. Dentro de Europa existen cinco ligas que destacan por su importancia económica y futbolística: la inglesa, española, alemana, italiana y francesa. Por ello, se va a realizar un análisis mediante informes financieros a través del que se pretende observar como han evolucionado los ingresos que la competición reparte a los clubes más relevantes de Europa, aquellos pertenecientes a las cinco grandes ligas, y como estos han impactado en dichas ligas, con el objetivo de ver si el impacto de los ingresos que los clubes reciben de la competición ha sido o no creciente.

Undoubtedly, football is one of the most popular sports in the world. We cannot talk about football without referring to the region where it was originated: Europe, where the most prestigious competition is the UEFA Champions League. This competition has experienced an exponential growth to become one of the most economically powerful tournaments in the world. Within Europe there are five leagues that stand out for their economic and footballing importance: English, Spanish, German, Italian and French. Therefore, an analysis will be made through financial reports through which it is intended to observe how the income that the competition distributes to the most important clubs in Europe, those belonging to the five major leagues, has evolved, and how these have impacted on these leagues, to see whether the impact of the income that the clubs receive from the competition has been growing or not.
